Pink Sugar Cupcakes was founded by Victoria native Adrienne Jopp in the summer of 2007. Not one
of the “Kitchen Kids” growing up, Adrienne’s passion for athletics and the human body lead her to do a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Upon graduation in 2003 her entrepreneurial spirit guided her to a successful management career with lululemon athletica and Starbucks Coffee. Always hoping to have her own business and her love of exceptional cupcakes, took her to the kitchen and a dream was born.
Realizing that many people had dairy allergies, Adrienne decided to experiment and ended up creating amazing tasting cupcakes for everyone to enjoy. With her creative flair and love of beautiful things, Adrienne’s cupcakes became works of art with quirky little names to match. Seeing the need for a extraordinary cupcake boutique in her hometown, Adrienne created a pink piece of heaven, with its very own pink Buddha, in Fernwood and so began Pink Sugar Cupcakery.
